Our first litter of Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppies (the "A" litter) was born in 1989.  Back then Cavaliers were only registered with the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club-USA and we were a member of that organization.  Cavaliers could not show in breed ring competition at the AKC shows, but we did compete in the Miscellaneous Classes as well as obedience trials with our dogs.  We also showed our Cavaliers in Rare Breed Shows with great success.

We have always bred classic Cavalier King Charles Spaniels that conform to the "Breed Standard" in type and are blessed with the most desirable "Comforter" temperament. In our opinion, if you don't have a sweet, loving, happy and friendly Cavalier then there is a serious fault of personality trait and that should not be passed along to any future generations.

Chelsea (from our "C" litter) owned by my sister Donna, lived to the ripe old age of 15 and 1/2 years old. Chelsea, like her sire, was a certified Therapy Dog and she was a wonderful example of a healthy and happy Currey Cavalier all the days of her life.

With the encouragement of her sister, Christine, Donna started her breeding program with a daughter, named Callie, from a long awaited breeding between Cameo and Connor.  Callie was a beautiful Cavalier that produced 3 litters ("S", "W" and "AA").  Annie was retained from the last litter and went on to produce beautiful puppies sired by Sheeba Cavalier champions.  Annie's litters were "CC", "DD", "EE" and "GG"

Donna is also the owner of Currey Lady Elizabeth of Burberry "Lizzie" and Currey O'Finnegan of Glenties "Finn" plus breeder/co-owner of Currey Annie's Gift of Grace.

In 2024, Donna retired from breeding and enjoys hearing from Currey Cavalier puppy owners via our private Facebook page.  Thanks to all our wonderful families who have brought our precious puppies into their loving homes.
